Dr. Gil Chimes
Dr. Gil Chimes is the Owner and Clinic Director of Greenwich Sports Medicine in Greenwich, CT. He is a sports chiropractor who specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal as well as sports injuries. He has post-graduate degrees in sports medicine (CCSP), Acupuncture and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He is a Diplomate of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology (DIBCN) and also has post-graduate training in rehabilitation and nutrition.
Dr. Chimes provides unique treatments by combining soft tissue techniques, such as Active Release (ART), with Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and joint manipulation to optimize his results. Years of academic and hands-on experience have thrusted him to the front of his field, making him the go-to practitioner for some of the most complicated cases among Olympic and professional athletes.
His success with these patients has earned him the position as the consulting chiropractor with the NYCFC (MLS) soccer team as well as The New York Yankees (MLB) baseball team, where he spends most home games in the locker room treating players.
Dr. Chris Mah
Christopher Mah is the managing partner and clinical director at Greenwich Sports Medicine at Twin Rinks. He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport.
Dr. Mah is fully credentialed in Active Release Technique including nerve entrapments as well as the Graston technique. He is a certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner. He has completed the McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture Program through the Department of Anesthesia McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He is a certified Neurokinetic Therapy practitioner.
Dr. Mah provides a functional approach to treating sports injuries and has helped athletes of all levels with injury recovery and performance enhancement.
He currently consults with professional and Olympic athletes from MLB, NFL, NHL, AHL, WNBA, IAAF Track and Field, WTA, PSA, WISPA. He has worked with a wide variety of patients from post-operative seniors to Iron man Triatheletes.
Christopher obtained his Masters in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. He is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. He is eligible to sit for his Diplomate in the American Board of Chiropractic Nutrition.
Dr. Mike Prebeg
Dr. Michael Prebeg is an innovative practitioner, specializing in performance enhancement, career longevity and injury recovery. As a graduate of New York Chiropractic College and a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Dr. Prebeg provides unparalleled treatments through his unique combination of soft tissue techniques, such as Active Release (ART), with Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and joint manipulation to optimize his results. Years of academic and hands-on experience have catapulted his expertise to the front of his field, making him the go-to practitioner for some of the most complicated cases among NCAA, Olympic and professional athletes. His success with these patients has earned him the position of consulting chiropractor with the National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA) and the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team, where he spends most home games in the locker room treating players.
Dr. Aaron Gerard
Aaron Gerard is a treating physician at Greenwich Sports Medicine. He specializes in musculoskeletal injuries. He earned a bachelors of science degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. He obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic of Florida.
Dr. Gerard takes a functional approach to treating musculoskeletal injuries. He uses a combination of soft tissue techniques, medical acupuncture and joint manipulation. He has earned full body certification in Active Release Technique including nerve entrapments. Dr. Gerard has also completed the McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture Program through the Department of Anesthesia McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He has also completed the Advanced Neurofunctional Sports Performance Program.
He recognizes you can’t perform at your best when you are in pain and have restricted ranges of motion. His goals are to restore neurological function, enhance performance, improve recovery and prevent further injuries from occurring down the road.
Dr. Gerard is a chiropractic consultant for the MLS team, the NYCFC. Dr. Gerard has worked with athletes of all levels including: the LPGA Futures Tour, NFL, NHL, Ragnar Relays, United States Tennis Association, squash, professional strong men and women, highland games competitors, triathletes, marathoners, ironman competitors, cross fitters, baseball players, swimmers, surfers and many others.
Dr. Gerard has competed in multiple sports including football, basketball, track and field and natural bodybuilding. Now he enjoys training for strongman competitions.
Dr. Chris Rago
Dr. Rago is a graduate of Emory University and the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic and Clinical Nutrition programs. He has been an avid athlete his entire life, playing competitive soccer, lacrosse and ski racing at a junior Olympic level. He played lacrosse in college and became a certified personal trainer where he began working with clients of all ages, health and fitness levels. It was during this time that Dr. Rago began to develop his own ideas of the practice of healthy living and athletic performance.
Dr. Rago’s philosophy as a sports medicine doctor has evolved from the techniques and evidence-based medical practices that he was trained in while attending school and through his personal experience working with his clients on fitness, rehabilitation and nutritional level. Dr. Rago’s goal as a sports physician is to restore and improve functional movement patterns and to improve his patients’ athletic performance and overall life through chiropractic, acupuncture, and corrective exercise.
Dr. Rago has had experience working with patients of all ages and walks of life. He has worked with athletes of all levels of development and performance. He consults with the MLS team, NYCFC. He has treated professional bodybuilders, baseball players and MMA fighters. While in Chiropractic College, Dr. Rago had the opportunity to work with the University of Bridgeport NCAA National Champion swim team along with the entire athletic program including the soccer, baseball, basketball, tennis, and gymnastics teams. He has a true passion for helping people and his focus lies within sports medicine and athletic rehabilitation and performance.
Dr. Dustin DebRoy
Dr. Dustin DebRoy is a treating physician at Greenwich Sports Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from Central Michigan University and obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences in Illinois.
Dr. DebRoy has completed over 300 hours of continuing education in the area of injury treatment and prevention. He is certified through National University of Health Sciences in musculoskeletal acupuncture and has participated in numerous rehabilitation seminars focused on injury prevention and improving athletic performance. Currently, Dr. DebRoy is studying to become credentialed in the McKenzie Method, which focuses on conservative care for intervertebral disc pathologies.
As a physician, Dr. DebRoy’s goal is to educate and empower each person so they can live an active pain-free life at any age. Dr. DebRoy’s background in dietetics allows him to take a functional approach to treatment by using manual medicine and nutrition to optimize and reduce patient recovery time. Furthermore, by utilizing functional and corrective exercise to restore healthy movement patterns, his patients can better prevent recurrence of an injury.
Dr. DebRoy lives the lifestyle he advocates to patients. In his free time, he enjoys participating in various physical activities such as weightlifting, hiking, and competing in organized sports. In addition, he reads as much as possible and tests out new recipes that he can pass on to his patients. As a Michigan native, he is also a loyal Detroit sports fan and enjoys watching games when time permits.
Kevin is a treating therapist at Greenwich Sports Medicine. He graduated from Bridgewater State University with an undergrad degree in Exercise Science and is a licensed Massage therapist. Kevin has worked in multiple health care clinics as well as strength and conditioning facilities, giving him extensive hands-on experience in both the rehabilitation and physical performance realm. Kevin has been an athlete his whole life, so he understands the athletic needs of those dealing with sport-related injuries or those looking to enhance their sports performance. Kevin is a recognized USA Olympic weightlifting Coach and enjoys programming and coaching his athletes. In his free time, Kevin enjoys researching, implementing and programing new training and injury techniques.
Michael is a movement therapist here at Greenwich Sports Medicine.
Mike has 10 years experience working as a Clinician in the fitness and rehabilitation field. Mike graduated from the University of Arizona with an undergrad degree in Health Science and a graduate degree in Exercise Physiology from Montclair State University. He has years of hands on clinical and research experience. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP). Mike Specializes in designing individualized therapeutic exercise programs for all types of injuries as well as programming corrective exercise and stretching protocols for injury prevention.
Henry has been in the Health and Fitness industry for 20 years. He began his career as a hungry for knowledge Certified Personal Trainer and pursued every certification he could find. Henry is also a licensed Massage therapist, Active Release Technique Practitioner, Certified Fascial Stretch Therapist, Functional Range Conditioning Specialist, CHEK Level 2, CHEK Golf Biomechanist, and CHEK Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach. He also holds certifications from the Gray Institute and several Manual Therapy bodies. Henry’s experience crosses many disciplines and he has worked extensively in commercial gyms, private gyms, Cross-Fit Boxes, Doctors offices, and Physical Therapy clinics. This unique blend of education and experience enables GSM to add another dimension to our treatment of Athletes or anyone that wants to train.
